Seafood Chowder Soup

    • Heat a stockpot over medium heat. Add butter, onions, and celery. Cook for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Add flour, whisk until smooth, and cook for another minute to eliminate the raw flour taste.
  • Slowly pour in 1/2 cup of chicken broth, whisking constantly until smooth. Add potatoes, remaining chicken broth, and creamed corn. Stir well, bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add scallops, shrimp, fish, clams, and half & half. Gently stir and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Add  Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Ladle into bowls, top with crumbled bacon (optional), and serve immediately.
